Christine's Story
I usually say I caught the travel bug from my parents, but thinking about it, I have to say the wanderlust runs in my blood. My grandparents stepped foot on every continent and sojourned almost every country. I treasure all the amazing souvenirs and trinkets they brought home from their travels: a kimono from Japan, an alpaca blanket from Peru, baskets from Morocco, boomerangs from Australia, and many other items connected to memories from different cultures. I always loved hearing all about their travels, and seeing how happy these experiences made them made me want to follow in their footsteps and relive their travel stories for myself.
I have experienced travel in many ways: driving across the US, exploring Europe, volunteering in Costa Rica, traversing Australia and New Zealand, and yachting through the Galapagos Islands. Adventure travel is what excites me. There’s something about going bushwhacking in a rainforest, kayaking amongst a pod of humpback whales, or swimming in front of a 4,000 year-old glacier stimulates and drives my wanderlust.
For many people, traveling is stressful and exhausting, but I like to joke that my happy place is on an airplane, because I know that a new adventure is about to begin. When I am not traveling, planning unique trips for others is a way to experience something new and a way to live vicariously with my feet still on the ground. As your travel advisor, I will work with you to completely tailor your trip to your liking and will be your advocate.
Travel is my passion, and I can’t wait to share that passion and excitement for new adventures with you!
