Janice's Story
Growing up, my parents took my siblings and I every year on road trips, traveling all over the western United States and western Canada. Naturally, I love to travel! I started to work in the travel industry working for AAA, helping members with their destinations and road trips. I eventually went on to work for a tourism board working directly with the community and partnering with hotels and other suppliers. After a few years, I went to work for Pleasant Holidays, a well-known tour operator, as a Marketing Manager. I was in charge of the entire USA and Canada working with many hotel and tourism boards. This gave me exposure to all 50 states and to the Canadian provinces. It finally dawned on me that my true talent lies in being on the front lines. I decided to become a Travel Advisor. This is because I love working directly with travelers, researching destinations, working out the logistics of the itineraries, and providing excellent customer service. This role comes naturally to me, and I get a real sense of pleasure bringing to life a client’s dream and vision for their vacations. So far, I have been in the travel industry for a total of 12 years. I find joy in this line of work everyday and have found my calling after all these years!
