Phyllis's Story
I became a travel agent in 1967 after a group of my friends wanted me to give them ideas for a trip to Europe. I decided I could make a career out of learning about new places and traveling, too!
I get excited when I talk to my clients and friends about a destination. I always try to find the best experiences and especially enjoy seeking out places before mass tourism catches on. I was among the first tourists brought into a village in Papua New Guinea – the reception I received was astounding and made me want to continue these explorations.
As an adventurous traveler, one of my most memorable trips included trying to land a small plane on a grassy strip in Nepal (Chitwan National Park). The plane buzzed the field to get animals off the runway and then a man on the strip raised his umbrella a few times to advise our pilot we were all clear! It was pretty wild.
If you become one of my valued clients, I’ll touch base with you frequently. I’ll supply you with information not found in the general information you receive from other places. As a certified river cruise and Ireland specialist, I particularly look forward to working with you on one of these types of vacations.
