Bordeaux River Cruise

The River Royale is a wonderful small boutique ship with 120 passengers operated by Uniworld.

The public areas are warm and friendly with the elegant furnishings Uniworld is known for. The lounge is a place where you can grab a coffee anytime during the day or night or enjoy a glass of Champagne, wine or cocktail of your choice.

(Uniworld is now all-inclusive.) There is also an open deck that has a Jacuzzi pool and a casual dining area, or you can sit on cushions and read a book. The excursions are excellent with knowledgeable guides of this most famous France wine district, or you can take a casual tour by bicycle with a guide. In Bordeaux we did a tour called “Do As The Locals Do.” You take a trolley and walk to the different shops that have canales, macarons and other goodies.

I really recommend this river cruise for a treat in the Bordeaux region while on a trip through France.
