It’s Easy to Unwind at Club Med Cancun Yucatan

After a direct flight from Los Angeles, I was excited to start my relaxing vacation in Mexico at the all-inclusive resort, Club Med Cancun Yucatan. I had a Family Superior Oceanfront room in the new Aguamarina section of the resort. My first level room had its own lawn overlooking the ocean with chairs to unwind in. This was the perfect place to nap in the afternoon.

While I do not have children, it was clear to me that the children’s programs offered on property are engaging and exciting for kids. Split into different age groups, children can participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities. It’s so simple for parents to drop their kids off for a fun-filled day where the kids will make friends from all over the world. Meanwhile, the parents can go off on their own to relax and participate in adults-only activities. I definitely recommend Club Med Cancun Yucatan to families.

The three restaurants on the property offer a great selection from the buffet to the steakhouse to the specialty Mexican restaurant. Bars are accessible and interspersed throughout the resort. The resort even has a wine cellar where guests can pay for wine tastings and premium bottles of wine.

The multitude of activities offered at the resort is astonishing. I was able to kayak, snorkel, waterski, and stand-up paddle board. I took a salsa dance class one afternoon and tried my hand at archery the next. I took a tennis lesson one morning with a bunch of like-minded individuals. Not to mention that every day I found myself beachside on a lounge chair reading a novel while listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean.

I thoroughly enjoyed participating in many activities while being able to fully decompress. I hope to return to this resort in the not-too-distant future.
