Kayaking Banned in Ha Long Bay

Vietnam is a popular destination for travelers, and Halong Bay is often a highlight. Unfortunately, for active travelers, there’s discouraging news. Halong Management Board has issued a new regulation that goes into effect April 1 banning kayaking activities in both Halong Bay & Bai Tu Long Bay.

Both day-cruises and overnight cruises are affected by the ban.

We are advised that this ban is being appealed by a number of groups. The appeals process may take a week, and we hope it can be reversed.
