Love at the Beach in Santa Monica

I recently stayed at the wonderful beachfront Loews Santa Beach Hotel, which is included in our Signature Hotels & Resorts program. We had a premium ocean view room, which offered amazing views of the beach and the Santa Monica Pier. The room had an additional sitting area, a small step out balcony and a large bathroom with separate shower and tub creating a split bathroom layout. A full-stocked mini-bar and snacks were conveniently at hand for an additional cost.

Loews Santa Monica Beach hotel has an incredible location, within walking distance to the famous Santa Monica Pier & 3^rd Street Promenade, which provides great shopping, lots of restaurants and local bars.

3^{rd S}treet Promenade also offers a farmers market on Wednesdays & Saturdays. If you are driving here, the hotel only offers valet parking at $44.00 a night with in/out car privileges; however, a car isn’t necessary when staying here. There’s a wonderful paved walking and bike path along the beach, too, that stretches from about Malibu to the north to Redondo Beach to the south.

The lobby offers lots of sitting areas, whether you looking for small & intimate or a larger area to gather with friends. There’s a small lobby bar which serves food and drinks. Ocean & Vine restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has a nice outdoor seating area, too. If you want to dine with better view, ask for it.

The breakfast menu offered everything from banana pancakes to eggs Benedict, which were amazing. Of course, there’s a Sunday buffet brunch, too.

The hotel has a very large pool deck with a pool, jacuzzi, and lots of pool seating. The pool is only 4 feet deep but is Olympic size, so it’s great for swimming laps. They also offer 10 individual fire pits on the pool deck to enjoy a romantic evening or have fun roasting s’more’s. Poolside bar & food service is available. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody looking to experience the Santa Monica area.
