The Andaz Scottsdale Resort

While we spend much of our time planning exciting international trips for our clients, we appreciate sometimes we need someplace not too far away for a quick getaway, like to Arizona.

Just opened is the new Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa, which is part of our Signature Hotel & Resorts program.

Spread out over 23 acres in the heart of Scottsdale, the Andaz Scottsdale is comprised of groupings of one-story bungalows surrounded by pine and olive trees and indigenous vegetation. While close to Scottsdale Road, the resort has the feel of a private oasis.

The bungalows are spacious and range in size. All rooms have terraces facing the gardens and lots of natural light. The mid-century modern design feature glass walls, stylish décor, and art from the Cattle Track Arts Compound, a fabled local arts community going back to the 1930s.

Among our favorite room types are the ‘Ultimate King,s’ which are around 600 sq ft. and feature an additional private patio off the bathroom. The ‘Retreat’ rooms are closest to the spa and Retreat pool. *(The spa and wellness center is scheduled to open late in January.) For those requiring more luxurious digs, the Suites are very large and have indoor/outdoor showers. All rooms offer complimentary mini-bar, which is replenished daily.

When it comes to dining, there is the Weft+Warp Art Bar and Kitchen, featuring an open kitchen and a chef’s table. The restaurant serves locally sourced products, and many of the flavors and ingredients of the region. Lunch is also available at the Turqouise Pool Bar, one of three of the resort’s swimming pools.

Golfers have three nearby courses from which to choose. Other activities can include hiking, visiting the nearby Arts Compound.
