Vacation to Curacao & Aruba
The Curaçao boutique hotel I stayed at was straight out of a dream. My beachfront suite was at the corner of the property and had incredible views of the sunset and the sea. I spent a lot of time alternating between lounging on my private beach and wading in my plunge pool. I even took a couple of baths in my oversized outdoor tub while gazing out at the water.
After saying goodbye to an amazing island, I took a quick 23-minute flight to Aruba. While the property I stayed in there is large, the service did not suffer. There were many dining options, a casino, pools, and more. I did not spend much time at the hotel because I was only on the island for one full day, but I really enjoyed the aspects of the hotel that I did experience.
While Aruba is more touristy than Curaçao, I had a great time exploring. I visited the Aruba Aloe Factory and learned about their processes and products. I went to an ostrich farm and fed baby ostriches. The Aruba Natural Bridge was a wonder to see, and the Bushiribana Ruins (an old gold mine) were fascinating. I also took an off-road safari to get to a natural pool. The safari ride was extremely rough and bumpy (I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with back problems!), but the natural pool was completely worth the effort.
