Washington DC Vacation Review
Washington, DC should be on every American’s bucket list. The memorials, museums, historic sites and buildings are abundant and nicely represent America’s heritage as well as many world events.
You can spend as much as 5-7 days here, as there is so much to see and do.
Advance planning is important because many tours and museums require tickets. Most are free but with limited daily admittance. White House tours must be booked through your Congressional Representative.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Hay-Adams Hotel. This luxurious hotel, originally built as two homes in the late 1800s, is in a prime location, just steps from The White House. Their 5-star rating is well deserved. The rooms are well-appointed with elegant décor, free Wi-Fi, and lavish bath products.
From the car valet, to the concierge, wait staff, and housekeeping, the service throughout was outstanding.
I certainly plan to return to our nation’s capital to see more of the city and absorb more history. I also will reserve a room at my new favorite hotel, The Hay-Adams!
